In order to apply you should have either:

• Level 3 NQF/QCF/RQF Diploma / Certificate / Award or GCE/GCSE or any equivalent qualification and OR;
• Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course

   • Understanding the impact of dementia on individuals and families
   • Current research and treatments

2. Unit 2: Dementia Awareness

   • Recognizing signs and symptoms of dementia
   • Understanding behavioral changes
   • Supporting individuals with dementia in daily activities

3. Unit 3: Communication Strategies in Dementia Care

   • Effective communication techniques with individuals with dementia
   • Non-verbal communication strategies
   • Managing communication challenges

4. Unit 4: Person-Centered Dementia Care

   • Principles of person-centered care
   • Tailoring care plans to individual needs and preferences
   • Promoting dignity and independence

5. Unit 5: Cognitive Support and Therapy

   • Cognitive stimulation techniques
   • Memory enhancement strategies
   • Implementing cognitive therapy programs

6. Unit 6: Caregiver Support and Resilience

   • Providing support for family caregivers
   • Coping strategies for caregiver stress and burnout
   • Resources and services available for caregivers

7. Unit 7: Legal and Ethical Considerations in Dementia Care

   • Legal rights and protections for individuals with dementia
   • Ethical dilemmas in dementia care

Assessment is via assignment submission

The fee for the programme is as follows:

• 6 Months - Accelerated mode @ GBP £1350
• 9 Months - Standard mode @ GBP £1050

The programme offers following fee payment plans:

6 Months programme
● Payment option (a): GBP £450 x 3 monthly instalments
● Payment option (b): GBP £1282.50 x 1 instalment (We offer 5% bursary on total fee for students opting to pay in full)

9 Months programme
● Payment option (c): GBP £210 x 5 monthly instalments
● Payment option (d): GBP £525 x 2 quarterly instalments
● Payment option (e): GBP £997.50 x 1 instalment (We offer 5% bursary on total fee for students opting to pay in full)

The qualification is delivered by London School of International Business (LSIB) and it is awarded by an Ofqual-regulated Awarding Body. All of the qualifications are listed on the Ofqual register.
