Fees, funding and payment options
What our qualifications cost, how instalments work, and a straight answer on free and government-funded courses.
Are these courses free or government funded?
No — and we would rather say so plainly than let you find out at the enrolment form. Healthcare Courses is a privately funded online school run by London School of International Business (LSIB). Our programmes are not free, are not paid for by the government, and are not covered by Student Finance England, Advanced Learner Loans or the Skills Bootcamp scheme. If you are eligible for a free local-authority or employer-funded Level 2 or Level 3 course, that may be the right route for you and we encourage you to take it.
What we offer instead is a regulated qualification at a fixed, published fee, with no exams, no travel, a personal tutor and the option to spread the cost over monthly instalments. Many learners choose us because a funded place is not available for their level, because they need a Level 4–7 management qualification that public funding rarely covers, or because they want to start now rather than wait for the next funded cohort.
What our qualifications cost
Every course page shows its full fee. As a guide (October 2026, GBP):
| Programme type | Typical fee | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Specialist certificates (e.g. Level 3 Certificate in Care and Management of Diabetes) | from £140 | 2–4 months |
| Single diplomas, Level 2 to Level 7 (e.g. Level 2 Diploma in Care, Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management) | £1,250 – £1,750 | 6–9 months |
| Integrated programmes (diploma plus a professional certificate in a specialism) | £1,350 | 6–9 months |
| Multi-level bundles (e.g. Level 2 + Level 3; Level 2 to Level 7) | £2,200 – £5,200 | 12–36 months |
| MSc Healthcare Management (12, 18 or 24 months) | £5,700 – £7,700 | 12–24 months |
The fee shown on each course page is the full programme fee. The only other charge is the one-off £10 enrolment fee paid when you apply.
Ways to pay
- Interest-free monthly instalments from £190 a month. There is no credit check and no finance company — you pay LSIB directly by card or standing order. Plans run for the length of the programme; you must keep up payments to receive your certificate, and instalment plans are non-refundable once study has started (see our terms).
- Pay in full and save 5% on the published fee.
- Employer sponsorship. Many care providers fund Level 3 to Level 5 qualifications from their training budget because they are required for senior and registered manager roles. Ask admissions for an invoice addressed to your employer and a course outline to share with your manager.
- Scholarships and referral rewards. A limited number of means-tested scholarships are awarded each year, and our referral programme pays a reward for each friend who enrols. See offers, referrals & scholarships.
- Card, PayPal or bank transfer through our secure online payment page. All payments are taken in GBP.
Where to look for funded alternatives
If cost is the deciding factor, these public routes may cover a care qualification for free or at reduced cost. Eligibility depends on your age, location, employment status and prior qualifications, and we have no involvement in them:
- Your employer and the Adult Social Care Learning and Development Support Scheme (the successor to the Skills for Care Workforce Development Fund) — eligible care providers in England can reclaim part of the cost of regulated adult social care qualifications for their staff.
- Apprenticeships — Adult Care Worker (Level 2), Lead Adult Care Worker (Level 3) and Lead Practitioner / Leader in Adult Care (Levels 4–5) apprenticeships are employer-led and free to the learner.
- Free Courses for Jobs and local adult education — some Level 2 and Level 3 care qualifications are free for eligible adults through further education colleges.
- Advanced Learner Loans — available for Level 3–6 courses at approved providers; repayments start only when you earn above the threshold.
If none of those fit — you are outside England, self-employed, already above the funded level, or simply want to start this week — our instalment plans are designed to make a regulated qualification affordable without debt.
Fees and funding — common questions
Do I have to pay everything before I start?
No. After the £10 enrolment fee you choose full payment or an instalment plan; your learning platform login is issued once the first payment clears.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Refunds are set out in our terms and conditions. Instalment plans are non-refundable once study has started, so please talk to admissions before enrolling if you are unsure which programme is right.
Will my employer accept an invoice?
Yes. Email admissions with your employer's billing details and the programme you want, and we will send a formal invoice and course outline.
